Privacy policy

Last updated 20 July 2026. Short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the service, we don't sell your data, and names in race results come from what clubs already published.

What we collect

Account: your email, name and profile details you provide. Usage: pages viewed and feature events, so we can improve the product. Content: what you add - boats, crew availability, follows, feedback.

Names in race results

Sailmesh republishes race results and entry lists that clubs and rating authorities have already made public, and these can include sailor and boat names. We didn't collect this from you directly - it comes from the official public record of the sport. If a result names you and you want it corrected or removed, contact us and we'll act promptly, or take it up with the publishing club for the official record.

Identity claiming

Linking your account to past results (“Is this you?”) is voluntary. Claims are visible on your profile and can be undone. Disputed claims can be reported and will be reviewed.

Who we share with

Service providers only, to run the site: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), PostHog (product analytics, hosted in the US), Sentry (error reporting), and Resend (email). Some of these store data outside Australia. We never sell personal information or share it for advertising.

Cookies

We use cookies for sign-in sessions and first-party analytics. No third-party advertising cookies.

Your choices

You can edit your profile, unclaim results, unfollow anything, and ask us to export or delete your account data. EU/UK visitors: our lawful bases are contract (running your account) and legitimate interest (publishing the sporting record and improving the product), and you have the usual access, correction, deletion and objection rights.
